April 8, 2013—2013 Extremity Games in Michigan, "Baha Acres MX" on May 25. Looking forward to Extremity Games 2013. Always a great time! For the first time in X Game history this year they are separating the upper extremities & lower extremities, so finally we upper extremity guys have our own championship!!
Even though…. ever since I’ve competed in the X-games I’ve always been the first one arm guy to finish. Although, not taking this years’ new rules lightly, with my new competition showing up like, "Drake Smeltz" & "Drew Gentile".
April 27 , 2012—Speaking Event
North Brunswick Cub Scout Pack 81 "Difference Awareness", We set up a variety of stations where the boys can experience various physical challenges for example, wear eyeglasses smeared with petroleum jelly to simulate impaired vision and use only one arm & try to put on & button up a jacket or sweater. The kids really took on a different opinion on disabled people after this event.
January 17, 2009—I will be attending the District 34 Awards Banquet, once again, proudly representing Belray. Class winners will receive a variety of products. I really enjoyed racing in District 34 events this season and plan on participating in more of them in 2009.
December 23, 2008—I will be speaking to about 100 8th graders at Howell Middle School North about overcoming adversity and following through to achieve their goals. This is pretty exciting for me, as I was a student in the Howell school district myself.
November 1 and 2, 2008—Tri-State MX Championship in Walden, NY. It was cold on Saturday and frigid on Sunday! Unfortunately, I had a bad crash on Saturday in the 40+ moto and I couldn’t finish. I did, however, manage to finish 4th overall in the 30+. Belray and I sponsored a benefit raffle for Mike Garone. Winners received products, and all proceeds went to Mike. Thanks to everyone who helped out.
October 12, 2009—Raceway Park Awards Banquet. As the local track representative, I handed out Belray “goodie bags” to class winners and to each mini rider. I was shocked when I was awarded with a points championship jacket for the 40+ class this season! I don’t focus on following the points chase—to me it’s about great racing and good times with friends.
September 28, 2008—Mississippi State Championship at Golden Pines Raceway. I drove 18 hours and raced 3 classes. I rode well—finished 5th in the 30+ A, 4th in the 35+ A, and 4th in the 40+ A. The track was great—long and wide layout with lots of elevation changes; it was like an outdoor national! I was back to work by Tuesday and even mentioned in November’s issue of Cycle News!
September 14, 2008—Tri-State MX Championship Qualifier at Hurricane Hills. Track conditions were good; Joe Fritz always does a great job with his events. I finished 6th in the 40+ A and 5th in the 30+ A class. The highlight of my weekend was meeting Mike Garone.
April 2008—Practice at a friend’s motocross compound, preparing for upcoming races. We rode all day, had a pig roast and bonfire at night—great time with good friends. Thanks John and Linda!
